The Birr man has passed away at the age of 56.
Tributes are being paid to former Offaly hurler Michael Hogan, who has died at the age of 56.
Hogan captained the Faithful County to their first Minor All-Ireland Hurling title in 1986, and went on to make a number of league appearances for the senior team, winning a national hurling league medal in 1991.
While with his club Birr, he won County, Provincial, and All-Ireland honours.
