Troy Parrott's heroic hat trick secured a World Cup play-off spot for the Republic of Ireland yesterday. 

The AZ Alkmaar striker's 95th minute winner sealed a 3-2 victory away to Hungary and claim a second place finish in Group F.

Heimir Hallgrimsson's side were trailing 2-1, but came through a stressful final 10 minutes to make it three wins in a row.

The draw for the play-offs will take place on Thursday, where the Boys in Green will find out their opponents for the games which will be played in March.
