Oisin Lane competes this weekend while Laura Mooney will run in the 10,000m final.
Over 40 Irish athletes will be wearing the green singlet at the European Athletics Championships in Rome over the next 6 days.
That number includes Oisin Lane of the Mullingar Harriers in the men's 20km walk on Saturday evening.
While Laura Mooney will be representing the Tullamore Harriers when she takes to the track on Tuesday evening for the 10,000m final.
Mooney is in the form of her life after clocking a new PB of 33:16 at the Big East Championships in the States last month, however she was just a few inches from suffering a career ending injury earlier this year.
The Providence College runner says she's looking to make the most of the opportunity after experiencing a terrifying dog attack:
Ciara Mageean and Sarah Healy are both through to the final of the 1500 metres this morning.
2022 silver medalist Mageean finished third in her heat, with Healy fourth in hers. Mark English though has finished 5th in his heat of the 800 metres and won't progress to the semi final.
Michelle Finn runs in the women's 3000 metre steeplechase heats shortly.
The mixed 4 x 400 metre relay team will be hoping to be among the medals in this evening's final at 9.20.
Rhasidat Adeleke, Sharlene Mawdsley, Thomas Barr and Chris O'Donnell make up the team.
