A game of two halves dictated by a strong wind meant Tullamore had to wait for their comeback on Saturday.
Tullamore came out on top after a bruising away day encounter with Clonmel on Saturday.
The Offaly club will head in to the fourth round of their AIL Division 2C campaign in the top half of the table thanks to a second half comeback in Tipperary.
Clonmel enjoyed the benefit of the wind in the first half and walked off at half time 13-0 ahead of Darren Classin's side.
Tullamore turned the tables as the sides switched ends and ran out 21-18 winners.
