She clinched third place in this morning's heat.

Nicole Turner has finished third in her heat of the 200 metres Individual Medley SM6 at the World Para Swimming Championships in Madeira.

The Portarlington swimmer's time of 3.15.36 was enough to book a place in this evening's final.

The Paralympic silver medalist came in just behind the two British competitors, including world record-holder Maisie Summers-Newton.

Barry McClements is into the final of the 100 metres butterfly S9 after coming home 4th in his heat.
