The GAA has launched the 2022 event ahead of its staging on August 1st.
Two young GAA players from the midlands are among those so far confirmed for the 2022 Poc Fada in the Cooley Mountains.
Darragh Smith of Na Piarsaigh GAA club in Westmeath will represent Leinster in the Under-16 hurling competition on Monday, August 1st.
Meanwhile, Amy Lacey of The Harps in Laois will represent Leinster in the Under-16 camogie.
Both youngsters won their respective grades at the Leinster championship in Carlow in recent weeks.
The finals of the Martin Donnelly-sponsored event was launched yesterday.
