End of June the deadline for the season to re-start
The President of UEFA Aleksander Ceferin has said the current football season could be lost if it cannot be restarted by the end of June.
The football league seasons in most European countries have been suspended because of the Covid-19 pandemic while the Euro 2020 championships have been put back 12 months.
The President said the season could be finished behind closed doors.
He said that there are three plans, to re-start in mid-May, mid-June or at the end of June.
He also said that here is also the possibility of starting again at the beginning of the next season starting the following one later.
As it stands in the UK there are nine games to be completed by the majority of Premier League clubs, and up to 12 in the Football League.
