United Manager Preaches Patience In Process

Dutchman believes United "should have done better" against Brighton.

New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag insists his side "have to learn" from their opening weekend defeat to Brighton in the Premier League.

He began his reign in charge with a 2-1 loss at Old Trafford yesterday.

The Dutchman accepts it was far from an ideal start to his tenure:

Elsewhere yesterday, champions Manchester City beat West Ham 2-0.

While Leicester let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with Brentford.
