Wales Power Into Quarter-Finals

Scotland hammer Russia

In the Rugby World Cup Pool D game in Oita this afternoon the final whistle has just gone and Wales have beeten Fiji by 29 points to 17 which means they are through to the quarter-finals.

Warren Gatland's team overturned a 10-0 deficit to lead Fiji 14 points to 10 at half-time. 

Josh Adams scored three tries with Liam Williams getting a fourth.

Scotland ran in 9 tries in a 61 points to nil defeat of Russia in Pool A in Shizuoka. 

It leaves Japan on 14 points, Ireland on 11 and Scotland on 10 entering the last round of Pool matches. 

Ireland play Samoa in Fukuoka on Saturday with Japan facing Scotland on Sunday.


Earlier this morning Argentina beat the USA by 47 points to 17 in Pool C.
