Westmeath had a strong win over Louth on Wednesday evening.
Westmeath Manager Mark McHugh believes games at this time of the year are all about finding new players and preparing for the league and championship.
The Lake County secured an impressive victory over Leinster Champions Louth in the quarter final of the O'Byrne Cup on Wednesday night.
Luke Loughlin finished with 0-5, while Brian Guerin and Brandon Kelly scored two first half goals as they saw off their opponents by 2-15 to 0-15.
The win means they will now welcome neighbours Offaly to Mullingar tomorrow for a place in the decider.
McHugh says a panel of 26 players is needed for the season ahead:
Throw in is at 2:00pm from Cusack Park tomorrow.
