Westmeath Footballer's Aiming To Retain Division 2 Status

One of their remaining fixtures is a clash with Mike Quirke's Laois.

Meanwhile, footballer Kieran Martin says a return to club action will be a good place to start for county players looking to build up their fitness. 

They take on Dublin in the opening round of the Leinster championship, but before that will be aiming to retain their status in division two of the national league. 

The Lake County, Laois, Kildare and Clare could all still face the drop.
