Clonkill and Castletown Geoghegan gave strong showings again.
It was a busy weekend in the Westmeath hurling championships.
Saturday saw the meeting of Castletown Geoghegan and Delvin in the Senior A competition.
Castletown made no mistake on the day, confirming their place at the top of group one with a 12 point win, 1-24 to 0-15.
Despite that, manager Pat O'Brien wasn't impressed with their performance:
The other game in Senior A saw reigning champions Clonkill overcome Castlepollard by 10 points on Sunday evening.
Slick conditions in TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar made for some decent scoring, the final result 2-15 to 1-8, confirming Clonkill's position at the summit of group two.
Two games took place in the Senior B championship.
Fr.Daltons maintained their unbeaten record with a convincing 1-18 to 0-8 win over Raharney.
While Crookedwood opened up by defeating St.Brigid's by 8 points, 0-21 to 0-13.
