Westmeath Lacked The Fight To Avoid Wicklow Loss - Alan Mangan

Westmeath now face a nervous wait to discover if they'll be playing in the All Ireland series this year.

Westmeath were short on fighters in midfield as they went down to Wicklow in their first outing in the Leinster Senior Football Championship.

That's what former Lake County star Alan Mangan is saying after seeing Dessie Dolan's side lose by a point to a Wicklow side that were relegated from Division Three this year.

Westmeath are champions of that same division and could only manage a single score in a particularly poor first half performance.

Mangan says Oisin McConville's side had what Westmeath lacked.
