Daniel O'Connor recently returned from Canada to Ireland.
Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort in County Kildare have appointed Athlone native Daniel O’Connor as Head Professional. The 28-year-old joins the resort following his return to Ireland from Canada where he was Associate Golf Professional at McCleery Golf Course in Vancouver.
O’Connor, a former Paddy Harrington Golf Scholar at Maynooth University, completed his qualifications as a PGA Professional under the guidance of Kevin Grealy at Athlone.
Speaking about his appointment, O’Connor said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Moyvalley and I’m excited to take on this role. The practice facilities are some of the best around and with a growing membership there’s huge potential for the club and resort.”
Alan Kelly, Golf Operations Manager welcomed him to the resort, saying: “We are excited to bring Daniel to Moyvalley and we look forward to working with him to expand our services and offerings to members and visitors alike.”
Daniel has represented Connacht at boys interprovincial level and is a medal winner in the All-Ireland AIG Senior Cup with Athlone.
