The Westmeath manager talks to Midlands 103 after their opening round defeat to Armagh.
Dessie Dolan is reflecting on what might have been against Armagh in their first outing in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.
The Lake County were well held by the Ulster side at the Athletics Ground where it finished 0-16 to 0-11.
Good scores from John Heslin and Ronan O'Toole just before the break meant Dolan's side reached half time just one score behind.
Armagh found some momentum after the break to race into a four point lead they would never relinquish.
However Dolan tells Midlands 103's Gerry Russell his side lost the game in that first period:
Westmeath are back out against the Connacht champions Galway in Salthill on Sunday at 2pm.
