Westmeath Power Past Offaly to Reach First Tailteann Cup Final

Westmeath ran out nine-point winners at Croke Park.

Westmeath's fast start was key as they overcame Offaly in the Tailteann Cup semi-finals yesterday.

The men from the Lake County withstood moments of resurgence from Offaly to eventually run out 3-22 to 2-16 winners at Croke Park.

John Heslin kicked eight points for Westmeath, while Lorcan Dolan hit 2-1.

He's declined to confirm whether he'll seek another term in charge, but sounded a negative tone on the prospect yesterday:
