Westmeath Secure Leinster Minor Football Quarter Final

Mick Dillon's side came back from seven points down at the break.

Westmeath secured their place in the quarter finals of the Leinster Minor Football Championship last night. 

Mick Dillon's side were made work hard as they saw off the challenge of Carlow on a final scoreline of 1-14 to 1-12. 

Despite being seven points down at the break, the Lake County turned things around to outscore their opponents by 1-6 in the second period. 

Aaron Connaire impressed with 1-5, while Stephen McWade and Darragh Deegan contributed three points each.

They'll now face Kildare in the quarter finals.
