After a difficult season, Ger Egan's players were celebrating victory on Saturday.
The Tyrrellspass senior footballers landed their first championship win of the season in Westmeath over the weekend.
Ger Egan's side has struggled throughout the campaign suffering heavy defeats to both Mullingar Shamrocks, and The Downs.
However they managed to inflict a first defeat on Athlone after winning out 1-14 to 0-15 in Castletown Geoghegan on Saturday.
