Lough Lene Gaels took on Raharney and had a 2-19 to 1-14 win last Saturday.
They held a three point advantage at the break, but were the better side over the course of the second 30 minutes, as they outscored their opponents by 1-10 to 0-8 and it was a much needed win for the Gaels.
Elsewhere, Fr Daltons were 3-14 to 1-14 winners over Castlepollard to record to their first win of the season
With the most surprising result of the weekend being the margin of Castletown Geoghegan's win over Clonkill as the reigning champions served up a 6-26 to 0-11 victory.
