Westmeath SHC Review: Clonkill Keep Championship Hopes Alive

Frank Aughey's side have won their first championship game of the season.

Clonkill produced a much needed first win in the third round of the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship. 

Frank Aughey's men were 1-19 to 2-09 victors over league champions Castlepollard on Saturday.

After two opening round defeats, another loss here would have spelled the end of their championship hunt, but this win keeps their hopes alive. 

Aughey says his team were relaxed and never started to worry as the clock was ticking:
