The rugby superstar is encouraging everyone to 'Skip the Skip.'
Athlone rugby star Robbie Henshaw officially opened a new Vision Ireland store in Westmeath today.
He paid a visit to the store in Mullingar this morning, where he was encouraging the public to think differently about their pre-loved furniture.
Around 1.2 million potentially re-usable bulky items are discarded to landfill or incineration each year,
Robbie Henshaw is urging the public to "Skip the skip," and donate their usable pre-loved furniture and homewares to Vision Ireland:
“Donating your furniture instead of throwing it out not only benefits the planet but will also help Vision Ireland raise more funds to empower people who are blind or vision impaired across the country”.
While Tara Healy, Area Manager of Vision Ireland, says they've seen a fantastic response from donators.
