Westmeath's return to the All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship got off to a difficult start yesterday.

They were beaten 1-18 to 0-4 by Galway in Tuam yesterday.

The final group stage game this Saturday sees Westmeath travel to Killarney to take on Kerry.

Westmeath need to win by ten points to progress to the knockout stages and avoid the relegation playoffs.
