There's also a midlands derby this weekend in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship.

Damien Gavin's side were well beaten by both Dublin and Meath in their group before dropping in to the second tier Andrew Corden Cup.

The Lake County meet Carlow at the semi-final stage in Kinnegad this evening.

Carlow swept aside a disappointing Offaly in the quarter finals of the tournament last time out.

Longford face Wexford in the other semi-final in Clonguish.

Both games get underway at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, Westmeath and Offaly will battle for top seed in group one of tier two in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship this weekend.

It's after both counties came through their penultimate group game with relative comfort.

Offaly were comprehensive winners over Wicklow in Aughrim on Saturday with the Faithful County running out 3-30 to 1-7 winners.

While Westmeath beat Antrim by ten points, 1-27 to 2-14.
