The Westmeath hurlers will be relishing the challenge of taking on the best counties in the country according to Castletown Geoghegan's manager, Alan Mangan.

Joe Fortune's side are on the road to Clare for their Division One opener after a Walsh Cup campaign that saw them beat Wexford, compete with but lose to Kilkenny, and lost with a disappointing performance against Dublin.
