Westmeath will have to take on Kilkenny without some of their key players in their Leinster Championship opener this weekend.
The Lake County will be without their star forward Killian Doyle, as well as Jack Galvin, and long term absentee Niall Mitchell.
Kilkenny were well beaten in the Leinster final against Limerick last time out, while Westmeath emerged from their relegation play-off against Laois with their division one status intact.
