Westmeath Wrap Joe McDonagh Campaign With Carlow Win

Aonghus Clarke top scored on the day with 13 points.

The Westmeath secured back to back wins to end their Joe McDonagh Cup campaign.

They defeated Carlow by five points on Saturday, Niall Mitchell with the Lake County's only goal in a 1-21 to 2-13 victory.

Following the win 14 year veteran Eoin Price announced his retirement from inter-county hurling, while Brendan Murtagh is also taking a step back after coming returning to the panel in the middle of the year.
