He's looking to extend his 4-1 record.
Moate's Joe Ward is back in the ring tonight in the United States as he takes on former UFC competitor Leandro Silva.
It's Ward's 3rd fight this year, his most recent coming against unbeaten American Troy Williams. All have been victories.
That took the 28-year-old's record as a pro to 4-1 as he looks to rehabilitate his career following a horrific injury during his one defeat.
Silva is 35-years-old and has never been stopped in his four defeats (3-4), so Ward will have a task on his hands but will enter as favourite.
The Brazilian also spent three years in the octagon with the UFC, holding a 3-3 record in that time.
The fight itself takes place in the early hours of tomorrow morning, Irish time in New York.
