Willie Maher "Delighted" With Two Points After Down Rout

The O'Moore County were looking for their first win since the Walsh Cup.

A record breaking victory is the way the Laois hurlers returned to the winner's enclosure over the weekend.

Down were swept aside on a final scoreline of 7-24 to 0-14.

That result was the O'Moore County's biggest winning margin in over 80 years.

Stephen Bergin helped himself to a hat trick while there were goals for Willie Dunphy, Stephen Maher, Paddy Purcell, and Tomas Keyes.

Speaking to Midlands 103 commentator, Jack Nolan, Laois manager Wille Maher says he's happy about the improvements in his side's performance:
