Dean Ebbe scored the goal as Town claimed victory.
Athlone Town have climbed to third in the First Division table after a win over Treaty United.
Dario Castelo's side secured a 1-0 victory over the Limerick side, thanks to a first half strike from Dean Ebbe.
The win saw the midlanders jump over Bray Wanderers in the standings, with the side now just two points behind second-placed UCD.
That same side represents their next opposition, giving Athlone a chance to climb once again.
The game against UCD gets underway on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, Athlone Town have extended Gideon Tetteh's loan from Shamrock Rovers.
The winger has enjoyed a strong first half of the season under Dario Castelo and will now see out the remainder of the season.
