The Cooley Mountains in Louth will host the event and there are a number of midlands competitors aiming to win this year's competition.
Pat Burke and Patricia Coote will be representing Westmeath in the Senior grade, while Westmeath's Conor Raleigh and Offaly's Siofra Ginty will be competing in the Under 16 Hurling and Camogie grade.
Offaly's Cillian Kiely is a two time winner of the Poc Fada.
