Women's Flyfishing Introductory Day is coming to the midlands this weekend.
Laois Angling Centre near Portlaoise will host the event this year, which will see women all across the country take on indoor sessions followed by four hours of casting instruction and practice outside.
It begins at 11am on Saturday and is aimed at beginners or novice anglers.
PRO of the Irish Ladies Flyfishing Association Maddy Kelly says she hoping the sport will grow over the coming years:
