World Cup: Germany And The Netherlands Suffer Penalty Shootout Heartbreak

Morocco and Paraguay progressed to the last 16.

Germany and the Netherlands have been stunned by penalty shoot-out defeats at the World Cup overnight.

The Dutch lost to Morocco after their match finished 1-1 after extra time.

While Brazil survived a scare, coming from behind to win 2-1 against Japan on Houston.

They'll now take on either Norway or Cote d'Ivoire in the next round - the two sides square off in Dallas at 6pm this evening.

There's a 10pm start to France against Sweden in New Jersey - the winner of that game faces Paraguay.

The overnight game sees co-hosts Mexico do battle Ecuador at the Azteca stadium - with that game set for a 2am start.
