Ferran Torres scored the winning goal.

Spain have won the World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final in New Jersey.

Ferran Torres got the deciding goal in extra-time, striking in the 106th minute.

Argentina were down to 10-men by that point after Enzo Fernandez was sent-off for a second yellow card.

There was also entertainment off the pitch, with Madonna and the Muppets starring in a lengthy half-time show.

Meanwhile, Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni admits he may leave his role, following their World Cup final loss to Spain last night.

He led his nation to back-to-back deciders, but failed to secure a second title in a row.

Scaloni says he will likely depart upon the expiry of his contract this December.
