The Tullamore Cycling and Touring Club member says she's proud to compete for Ireland.
Offaly's Josephine Healion says she's honoured to represent Ireland at the forthcoming Paralympic Games.
The Tullamore para-cyclist is heading to her first games after receiving her official call-up from Cycling Ireland last week.
Healion and her Team Ireland cycling teammates are heading to Portugal for a training camp next week before moving on to Paris.
She says her Paralympic debut will be the product of years of hard work:
The 11 days of the Paralympic Games gets underway with the opening ceremony on August 28th.
Healion will be competing on the track, and then the road from the 29th.
