The former county under 20 manager previews this year's Joe McDonagh Cup final.

Both Laois and Offaly will be looking to use their previous head to head meeting in the Joe McDonagh Cup to move them closer to victory in the championship final this weekend.

The O'Moore County ran out one point winners when the sides met in Portlaoise in April.

Offaly's hurlers led by five points at the break, and were 6 ahead after 52 minutes when Eimhin Kelly's goal-bound effort was stopped by Enda Rowland.

Laois raised a green flag on their next attack and saw out a crucial victory.
