With the Celtic festival of Samhain just around the corner MJ chats to Clodagh Doyle from Countrylife Museum in Co. Mayo about how our customs today are based on the practices of our ancestors. Ewen Mullins from Teagasc speaks about the huge potential there is in plant protein for Irish farmers with a massive demand from the human nutrition market. Deirdre Murtagh from Farmaphobia in Co. Meath speaks about the now enormous Halloween event which started on their family farm some 20 years ago. The current event sees over 200 people employed to scare patrons over the month of October. Stephen Robb from the Irish Farmers Journal speaks about a 97 acre solar farm that has just been given permission in Co. Offaly. This is the third such farm to be given permission in Co. Offaly in recent times.
