An eight-week-old Westmeath baby has been refused a drug for his life threatening condition due to the cost.
Toby Gavin, was only five days old, when he was diagnosed with Propionic Acidaemia which is a rare inherited metabolic disorder, that affects the protein pathway and can affect heart, brain and bone marrow.
The medication costs 4,000 euro a month.
