Two of the roses will be representing the region.
32 Rose of Tralee hopefuls are making their way to the midlands today.
As part of the 2023 Rose Tour contestants, including Laois' Sinead Dowd and Offaly's Allie Leahy, will experience whiskey tasting in Tullamore Dew followed by a Mid-Summer Rose Ball in Birr County Arms.
Tomorrow they will pay a visit to Birr Castle Demesne and take a cruise along the River Shannon.
Daithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas, who will present at the weekend, will also make an appearance.
The tour will conclude on arrival to Tralee this Friday for the 2023 Rose of Tralee International Festival.
