100 people have died on Irish roads so far this year.

Galway, Mayo and Cork have recorded the most road deaths in the country in 2023.

Garda and Road Safety Authority figures show road deaths in the first half of this year are the worst for six years.

There have been 10 deaths in the midlands, the highest number in Westmeath at 6, 3 in Offaly and 1 in Laois.
