118 Vacant Local Authority Homes To Be Refurbished And Re-Let In The Midlands

50 homes will get a facelift in Laois, 35 in Offaly and 33 in Westmeath.

118 vacant local authority homes in the midlands are to be refurbished and re-let this year.

The Department of Housing will cover the cost of up to €11,000 each on 107 units across the region, to bring the vacant stock back to productive use.

While local authorities can recoup up to €50,000 each on the renovation of 11 properties in the midlands.
