After Q1 of 2024, the delivery of new build homes is behind schedule compared to last year.
The midlands has seen just four 'new build' homes delivered by county councils so far this year.
All four of the houses came from the local authority in Offaly, while the councils from both Westmeath and Laois are yet to deliver a single new build home.
By the end of last year, the three county councils brought a combined total of 134 newly built houses.
There were 58 in Laois, 45 in Westmeath, and 31 in Offaly.
