There are 20 people on trolleys in the midlands, with 10 at Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar, and another 10 at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
University Hospital Limerick has the highest waiting list nationally with 86 patients without a bed.
That's followed by 71 people waiting for care in Cork University Hospital, according to the INMO.
The latest CSO figures show that 83 per cent of patients without a bed are in emergency departments.
