2,000 Drivers Speeding During The Bank Holiday Weekend

A driver in Offaly was caught speeding over the weekend.

Over 200 people were arrested for driving under the influence over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Gardaí detected more than 2,000 drivers speeding during the operation,  including a driver travelling at 86km/h in a 50km/h zone in Kilcoursey, Clara.

Three people died on our roads and 15 serious crashes occurred over the Bank Holiday period.

209 drivers were caught on their phone and 75 weren't wearing their seatbelts.
