26,000 Midlands Homes Set For High Speed Broadband Connection

This follows government investment of almost €50 million in the network in each area.

Over 26,000 homes across the Midlands are set to be fully connected to high speed broadband from this month.

13,000 homes each in Laois and Offaly are included in the rollout of the National Broadband Plan, which is hit to see completion milestones in both counties this month.

It follows a investment of almost 50m respectively in Government investment in the network in each area, with events set to be held to mark it.

Laois's event will be held in Vicarstown Community Centre next Monday, while the local authority buildings in Tullamore will hold one on September 21st.
