27 Midlands Children Waiting Over A Year For Mental Health Appointment

26 young people have been added to the waiting list since May.

27 children in the midlands have been waiting over a year for an appointment with the mental health service. 

According to freedom of information figures, 395 young people are currently waiting to be seen by the HSE's child and adolescent mental health service. 

That's 17 per cent of the national total, with 26 children added since May.

In total, over 2,300 kids around Ireland are waiting to be seen.
