There was a 15% increase in incoming calls according to the Crime Victims Helpline report for 2024.
In their report, 77% of interactions were directly from crime victims, 8% were from members of the public, 7% were from friends or family, and 6% were from the Garda services.
In the midlands, Westmeath are the highest recorded county of location-identified calls with 2%, while Laois and Offaly contributed 1%.
Dublin was the highest number of calls with 39%.
