35,000 Construction Workers Claiming PUP Despite Full Reopening

All construction was permitted to resume on May 4th.

35,000 construction workers are claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.

That's despite the construction sector reopening fully since May 4th.

The Construction Industry Federation says 40 percent of the industry stayed open during Level 5 lockdown, for projects that were given exemptions.
