3k People And 1k Businesses "Upskilled" Last Year

Over half of the participants with Skillnet Ireland were men.

Over 3,000 people in the midlands "upskilled" last year.

Skillnet Ireland's latest report shows 1,000 businesses in the region also availed of services in areas like digital and green transition.

96% of those were small or medium enterprises, with the food and drink sector dominating the figures, accounting for six in ten of the total in the region.

56% of the participants in the midlands last year were men, with the largest portion of them in their 30s.

Overall, 25,000 training days were delivered by Skillnet Ireland in 2022.
