Overall, 30,000 people are on waiting lists in the region.
Over 4,000 patients have been waiting longer than a year for an appointment at midlands hospitals.
The latest figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund shows nearly 30,000 people are on the Inpatient and Outpatient waiting lists in the three hospitals.
Nearly 13,000 of those are in Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, followed by 11,000 in Mullingar, and 5,000 in Portlaoise.
Nationally, over 400,000 people were exceeding the 10-week outpatient target in November, which the Department of Health says is a near-three percent decrease on the figures in October.
