585 Patients Left Waiting On Trolleys Nationwide

13 patients are waiting in the midlands.

585 patients are waiting on trolleys in the country's hospitals.

396 are waiting in Emergency Departments , while 189 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise had 8 patients waiting for a bed. 

While Mullingar had 5 and Tullamore continues to have no patients on trolleys.

University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of people waiting at 66.

That's followed by Cork University Hospital at 59.
